While there’s isn’t much new to show (most of things added uses placeholders, so looks terrible for now), I’ve finally came to stage, where base for all features in game is done. Now it’s time to polish them, and add content (so – time for more work that is not programming at all).
What awaits between alpha and beta?
NPC have their faces and some basic dialogues (some even more than 10 for now) – which is still far from target (I think that 30-40 at least per person).
There are quests (about 15) – so additional 30-40 should be added.
There’s dog, horse, chickens and cows – so they need to be done.
There’s 10 seeds – far from 50-60 I’m planning.
There are 3 recipes – far from 100 I’m planning.
Minigames and quests are too minimalistic, there’s lack of smooth animations and better UX.
There’s marriage, but yet no kids.
There’s only one type of fish, named… “fish”.
Touch steering on mobile supports two buttons only.
So… there is still long way to go, but yet I feel that we are coming to a moment, where I could show some first gameplay trailer.
Fun fact: while it wasn’t planned (I expected to make Alpha around commit #1000), #987 are last digits of my birth year.
